The Parish Mandate
This is clearly defined in the Holy Scriptures as given in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19). The mandate is further elaborated in the Practice and Procedure Document of the Church. The mandates of the Parish are also drawn from the various resolutions of the General Assembly and its organs and also the decisions of the Presbytery and those reached by the Session as provided for within the Practice and Procedure Document. The Scriptures say that the object and purpose for which the Church exists is to preach and teach the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In pursuit of this mandate the Church will be guided by its vision, mission and core values
A Congregation that mirrors Christ in all ways, holistically. (Matt. 5:16)
To worship God and care for humanity in obedience to the Great Commission (Matt 28:19)
Informed by Faith driven by Love to give Hope
- Bible centeredness
